‘VERA’, A Bespoke Rug by Mestiz
Revolution of Forms collaborated with MESTIZ, Daniel Valero’s acclaimed design studio, to create a large bespoke rug for one of our collectors.
The rug is inspired by the symbol of the “Vieira” is commonly seen in San Miguel de Allende, home of Mestiz’s studio. This symbol found in the architecture, fountains and as decorations of patterns. Is one the symbol with the greatest importance. San Miguel de Allende origins are linked to it’s importance as a crossroad, a place where travellers coming from “Tierra adentro” stay and continue their trip to Mexico City. ’VERA’ , a bespoke creation part of the Textile Fauna series, expresses the richness and variety of the Mexican landscape. Revolution of Forms source and manage the creation and delivery of the piece from start to finish, providing provenance information and authenticity certificate to go with it.
